Haunted Lowe Hotel

Say the words "Point Pleasant" and virtually anyone interested in weird phenomena will immediately
recognize the town as the focal point of the infamous Mothman encounters and the tragic collapse of the Silver Bridge.

But the strange flying cryptid isn't the only thing of paranormal interest in this small West Virginia town.

Right across the street from the Mothman museum, there's a historic hotel that his its fill of ghostly activity.

The Lowe hotel first opened in the early 1900s.  The four story building features a grand ballroom and banquet room.  It was originally built to serve the heavy river traffic of  the period.

The hotel was one of the locations that John Keel stayed at while conducting his investigations for his most well known book, The Mothman Prophecies.

Numerous spirits are reported to roam the halls of this historic hotel.  The third floor is reportedly the most active area of the hotel and my colleague Dave Spinks and I had the building to ourselves last month when we set up our investigation.

Check out the video below for the first night of our investigation at this active location.
